Introducing into the Wild- Harlow

I do love this blogging caper. In 3 short months it has already opened so many new doors for me and in turn lead me to meet some amazing new people. Some I have only ‘met’ online while others I have had the pleasure of meeting in the flesh.

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be invited to a sneak preview of the new Harlow Autumn/ Winter clothing launch.

It was a very intimate affair which was perfect as we were able to get up close and personal with not only the clothes but also the A-Team behind it all husband and wife team Kerry and Angelo.

If you’re not familiar with Harlow let me get you up to speed.

Harlow is an extended size Australian brand (12-24) based in Melbourne. Shopping with Harlow you will find good quality basics that will last a lifetime being worn over and over again.

What I love about Harlow is that they get women. As sizing goes up, some fashion houses simply add extra fabric all across the garment, now as any substantial gal (like myself) knows this is not always the case. We might be growing here and there but no one wants to have so much fabric their shoulders we end up looking like an extra from a rugby team. With Harlow, the cut and fit on the pieces is bang on.

I should know, I lived in my leather look Scuba leggings last year and can’t wait to pull them out again this Winter.

Through her designs Kerry gives us great quality, on trend basics with a hint of a rockstar injection.

Things are working a little differently this year, instead of playing all their cards at the beginning of the season there is 3 drops spread out over the next coming weeks. I love the idea as it keeps us hanging and waiting for more, trust me I’ve seen the entire collection and it’s to die for. I’ll take one of each.

Price wise I would say the items are mid-range, this of course changes on the person, and it depends on you and your budget for fashion. These pieces are an investment that will last the test of time and are ethically made right here in Australia. Basically you get what you pay for in the quality stakes.

My absolute favourite pieces just happen to be in the first drop (settle down credit card). As soon as I laid eyes on the Deep V Blouse in white and Jean Genie skinny leg jeans in indigo I fell in love. They shall be mine I swear.

I’m also loving the injection of charcoal leopard print to jazz things up a bit, plus it has the word slouch in the title, so I was instantly on board.

Over to you, do you own any Harlow pieces? What do you have your eye on?
