Welcome to Wednesday’s wearing post…… on Friday!

If you’re a regular around here you will know that each Wednesday I aim to do a wearing post.

I try to feature different clothes worn in different ways, not only for your inspiration but my own as well.

It makes me more accountable for what I put on my back and also inspires me to try new and different things outside of my comfort zone.

A few weeks ago I was approached by Rockmans to come in store and have a look around, I was given a gift card to purchase any item of my choice but was given the hot tip that their new jeans range was pretty up there.

I high tailed it into my local store and instantly fell for the Indigo Biker Jeggings. I tried them on and instantly knew that they were definitely coming home with me.

On my way to the change room I also spied a cream peasant top which just screamed Nina Proudman. I don’t usually wear white or cream but I decided to give it a go. It cuts and drapes in all the right places and has the perfect amount of detailing. I fell in love for a second time that day and the top also made its way into my home.

As you know I mostly like to wear dresses, but this season I’m aiming to wear more separates, it’s a definite gap in my current wardrobe.

If I do wear jeans it is always a skinny leg jean, I find in more flattering on my apple body shape.

The struggle with apples is sometime the extra waist size needed means you also gain extra fabric around the legs and ankles. As I like my jeans to look more like a legging, I find a jegging to be the perfect alternative!

I personally think Jeggings got a bad rep when they started surfacing, the secret to pulling off a pair of jeggings is that your top has to be lower than your butt and yoo hoo…. No exceptions. Don’t make me say the dreaded word…. Camel toe… Ugh, even typing that word gives me shivers.

That’s why the dipped hem line of this top gives a perfect silhouette without being swamped in fabric.

Here I’ve added my tan Wittner boots and Sportsgirl tassel handbag to carry on the boho theme.

The best part about this outfit is that it came in just under $100 …. I know, love that!

What about you, have you tried Rockmans Jeans? Are you a jegging girl?

  • I think the original jeggings (that were basically fabric leggings with PAINTED ON JEAN DETAIL BLEARGH!) put a lot of people off the word. I am all about the jegging these days despite bagging them to all hell when they first came out. Covering your business is definitely the key!

    • I remember those! They were shocking! These are the business, as long as you get the right top, you’re A-Ok!

  • Jenni from styling curvy

The original jeggings were shockers but they get better year after year. I’m a fan of a jegging (hello elastic waist) and I think I need to take a look at these ones #enabler. Oh, and winter white/cream/oatmeal colours bloody love you…wear more! 😀

    • Im not sure why I didn’t see this before! Oh I remember my first pair from Supre…. Ugh they were awful! These ones are pretty up there for me, they have a thick waist band too….so comfy! Thanks Jen x
