Well well well, look who is finally writing a blog post!
I have taken a few weeks off so let me get you up to speed.
I didn’t actually plan to take some time off of the blog, it just kinda happened, I have been pretty busy with work and my studying and blogging just got thrown to the side lines for a bit, truthfully I have missed it.
In saying that, I do think I may have bitten off more than I can chew, so I may cut back on the blogging for the next few months, until I get back into the swing of things anyway. I’ll try to post at least once or twice a week but aiming for 3 is getting a little much.
I was finding that keeping up with a blogging schedule was becoming a bit of a chore so after a few weeks off I decided the best way forward was to just cut back, quality over quantity styles!
Just when I was afraid my blogging mojo was MIA, perhaps for ever, the lovely Sarah from Empress Eleven sent me a little parcel with some pretties for me to peruse.
I do love getting mail, especially surprise present mail like this!
I immediately was drawn to 2 items in particular, the first being the Charli Rose Cardi…. I do love me some leopard print, it works back with so much of my existing wardrobe.
Here I wore it to work over my black empress eleven tunic (sold out but seriously the best layering dress ever) and found it the perfect mix of stylish and comfortable.
Oh and I’ve never met a waterfall cardi / jacket I didn’t like, so effing flattering, I adore them!
My work has changed somewhat in the last few months and I now drive around a lot and visit customers who work in interior design so I need to look the part but still be comfy getting in and out of the car over and over again.
Of course I will pull this baby out for casual wear too, I don’t have a separate work wear wardrobe anymore….. I find when I wear clothes I like and feel good in the day just goes better. Fuck leaving it just to the weekend to feel that way, I’m pulling it out whenever I like.
The second item I’m featuring here is the Cross my heart Top, I must admit it intrigued me when I first
tore it open with my teeth carefully and precisely opened my package.
The hem line at the front is a lot shorter than I would usually wear, it showcases my tummy which is something I usually go to great lengths to hide using a lot of smoke and mirrors.
Here I have worn it over my pleather leggings and a loose flowy top, I also wore it over a slim line black dress with tights (forgot to get a photo so use your imagination) and it worked perfectly.
I love that, you know when you try something on that you would usually steer away from and fall in love? It’s been happening a lot to me lately, I’m a big believer in trying new styles… you may just surprise yourself and find a winner!
That’s what I did with drop crotch pants and these days they make my weekly rotation!
Both pieces are perfect and very welcome additions to my Autumn wardrobe and layer beautifully over most of what I already own.
What about you, have you tried any new styles on lately?
I may be cutting back on the blog posts but I am loving snap chat at the moment and am posting snaps daily, if you love photos of other peoples dogs, new filters and photos of wine glasses against clouds than im your girl, Im Catalina0086 should you be so inclined!
These items were gifted to me by the lovely Empress Eleven but it was my choice to write about them.
